Bio: Brian Rodgers moved to the Daytona Beach area as a child and stayed there until 2011 when he moved to Gainesville. Before becoming a lawyer, he worked as a carpenter and construction superintendent. Brian graduated with honors from the University of Central Florida and was recipient of the Bledsoe-Young award for most outstanding graduating senior. He then graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Brian served as an editor on the Journal of Law and Public Policy, earned the Book Award for the Prosecution Clinic, and received certificates for outstanding achievement after completing hundreds of hours of community service and pro bono work. Brian interned at the Brevard County Attorney’s Office where he had the opportunity to serve as lead researcher and writer for a brief filed with the United States Supreme Court. He then worked as a summer associate at an Orlando law firm where he was exposed to a variety of civil litigation practice areas. After law school, Brian proudly served the people of the State of Florida for 8 years as a prosecutor in the Special Victims Unit at the State Attorney’s Office in Gainesville.
