Bio:Denny L. Holloway began his career by enlisting in the U.S. Air Force, where he obtained the rank of staff sergeant before receiving his honorable discharge. In 1978, he was commissioned a first lieutenant in the Alabama Army National Guard where he served as a staff judge advocate. Judge Holloway first held public office in 1985 when he became a district court judge for Houston County. He was later elected to serve as circuit judge for the 20th judicial circuit, which is composed of Houston and Henry counties. Judge Holloway was reelected in 1994, 2000 and 2006. During the judge's military career, he was active after the 9-11 attacks and served one year of active duty as a judge advocate attached to the Department of Homeland Security. In 2007, he retired from the military with the rank of lieutenant colonel. After serving for more than 23 years as a judge, Judge Holloway retired from the bench in 2008. During his judicial career, he presided over thousands of civil and criminal cases.
