Bio:Douglas Burns began his legal career with the New York City law firm Shea and Gould. He left the firm to join the United States Attorney's Office in the Eastern District of New York where he served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Criminal Division from 1987 to 1996. When he left the U.S. Attorney's Office, he was Deputy Chief of the Long Island (Criminal) Division.
