Bio:Doug is experienced in all manner of dispute resolution, particularly in the areas of commercial and business litigation, creditors’ rights, and administrative law. For 35 years, he has tried cases and represented appellants in both state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. Doug is admitted to practice in Maryland and Massachusetts, and in the United States District Courts of Maryland and the District of Columbia, the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Supreme Court. A Navy veteran, Doug was commissioned in 1978 and served on active duty from 1980-1983 as a JAG officer. Upon completing his military service, Doug joined the litigation department of Miles and Stockbridge in Baltimore, where he practiced in state and federal courts until his election to the Baltimore County Council in 1990. Doug served as chairman of the Baltimore County Council and, in 1994, was re-elected to a second term. Keeping a campaign promise to serve but two terms, Doug returned to the private practice of law in 1998. He joined the Baltimore firm of Rosenberg Martin Greenberg, LLP and was subsequently elected to partnership. In 2008, Doug became a partner at Treanor Pope & Hughes, P.A.
