Well she is consistent looking at all these reviews! She will create problems, and stick her nose where it doesn’t belong- she was much more interested in my ex husbands affair than my kids, that’s for sure, and charged me a lot of money she could meddle in anything but protecting my kids. My ex was physically abusive, and had been arrested multiple times for assault to our family, she didn’t care. She certainly liked to fan a hostile situation and pad her pockets. She didn’t like me, and she let the judge know that, for personal reasons, and it had a very negative impact - I lost my house, my children suffered, she is bad news. And beware - I would avoid the family legal system - I’m glad they are getting exposed, but when their buddies run the ABA and handle complaints it doesn’t seem like much can be done. I think more may be coming out soon with a high profile tragic case, in which many of these cash for kids players had a hand in which resulted in a tragic ending for a mother and her four kids. These people will push you to places you have never been.

Elaine Pudlowski was appointed as a GAL in our case on another attorney's recommendation. The lawyer did not tell us that Pudlowski had been in the news and that she had numerous lawsuits filed against her for not protecting the children she was appointed to represent. In my case, Pudlowski didn't give a d**mn for my child. Pudlowski only cared about dragging the case and bringing her therapists, instead of addressing honestly child abuse and neglect issues. Pudlowski did this to generate GAL fees. I filed a complaint against her. I suggest that all parents who this scammer rips off, file complaints against her. She should lose her law license.

The reviews are 100% true as far as her character. My ex and I were divorced in another state with a modification that was specific to who get the kids if one of us moves. The mod was w.r.t. the school district each parent lives in. Elaine disregarded that modification and attempted to use mental health "issues" accusations my ex made against me. No proof at all except his testimony about neglect that he said happened years before our divorce. She and the judge allowed a family member be a "witness" but admitted they did not witness and were repeating what my ex told them as if she was a witness. He also admitted he had no proof and when asked if there was abuse why didn't it get filed in a police report his response was because we were in love. The entire 2 day trial was a circus and any half knowledgeable attorney could have done than my wet behind the ears attorney. I hadn't no proof but I believe my attorney was on Her side as well get name was Katie who no longer works for Bardal Law. Regardless run like the wind. You and your ex and kids will end up broke and traumatized and the kids will be the ones to suffer most. You don't need a GAL they see both sides evidence plus the kids but will never provide a recommendation prior to trial. They speak to the judge and are an influence. Why have ajudge if they judge hard of the gardian. Mediation may be better option unless your CO parent is vengeful and bipolar like mine is

I had a very bad experience with Elaine Pudlowski. She was recommended to me as a father's guardian ad litem. As a father, neither I nor my children benefited from her services, which I would describe as nonexistent. She delayed our case. She demanded we hire therapists when none were needed. She created controversy between my ex and our children. I wouldn't recommend this dishonest lawyer to anyone. Trust me you will do so much better without her. We were all stressed emotionally and financially because of her. Dishonest and unprofessional. She never had time for our children and never cared about their wishes.

Elaine Pudlowski brings no value to a case. She advocates for continuances and delays so that she can make money of poor parents and their children, draining their collage funds and savings accounts. Our family just finished a three year ordeal with Pudlowski which she continued and continued and continued over our objections. She shoveled our child from therapist to therapist just to delay the case so that everyone made money on our difficult family situation. Because of Pudlowski I had to bypass a great job opportunity and I wasn't allowed to move from Missouri until we settled the case. Pudlowski threatened not to sign the settlement unless all of her fees were paid. It was a truly disgusting experience. During the course of the proceedings she threatened to strike our pleadings for nonpayment of her GAL fees. Pudlowski showed no interest in our child. She was late to settlement conferences all the times. It became clear to my ex and I that Pudlowski only cared about being paid. I wouldn't recommend this lawyer to anyone.

Elaine Pudlowski, a guardian ad litem with St. Louis law firm of Frankel Rubin was brought into our case by my ex and the ex's lawyer. Being uneducated about the process and not suspecting that a guardian ad litem could be corrupt and dishonest, I agreed to Elaine Pudlowski being a gal in our case. That was the worst mistake of my life. Elaine Pudlowski is truly evil. She managed to pin my ex and I against each other and into multiyear litigation. This litigation drained us and left us and our child crippled emotionally and financially. At the end, both my ex and I agreed that bringing Elaine Pudlowski into our case, destroyed our family and any familial relationships which should have been fostered by a caring gal. Pudlowski doesn't communicate with the parents, she didn't want to see our child. She refused to call our child's therapists. She didn't investigate anything. She constantly continued our case. She installed her therapists. When we wanted to walk away from the case after being exhausted, she refused to sign off on our documents unless we paid her. It was all about money for her. Greedy, dishonest, unprofessional - Elaine Pudlowski. I don't understand why is she allowed to practice law and represent the most vulnerable?

OMG! I am not alone. Reading these reviews about this horrible lawyer is so validating to what happened in our divorce! Pudlowski is so evil. She pinned my ex and me against each other so we had to fight more, so she could get more money. Of course, initially we did not see it, but as the time went by we both clued in. She basically put our family through useless litigation and used our child to make money for herself. All the reviews below are correct. Stay away from this dishonest and deeply corrupt lawyer who takes advantage of families and children. Pudlowski was manipulating all of us, my ex, myself, and even our lawyers. She is really good at this manipulation.She constantly threatened us that if we don't do what she said we both would lose custody. Both of us are good parents and we wish the best for our child, but because we relied on Pudlowski we lost track of it initially. We trusted her to help us, but instead she exploited us.

Agree with all the reviews below. Elaine Pudlowski is pure evil because she trades in children using her position of GAL and using the court system. Pudlowski only cares about her bill and which litigant pays her more. She doesn't care about the children she is appointed to represent, nor does she want to spend a minute on your child's situation. It is all about money and how many families she can represent as a GAL. She is running children trafficking conveyor. The parent with the fattest wallet gets the custody, even if that parent is a domestic violence perp. Pudlowski does not care who gets the child, as long as she gets paid. I hope somebody stops her! I pray for it and for the lives of the children she sells daily. I lost my child because of Elaine Pudlowski and her unwillingness to do her job. Be very careful if Elaine Pudlowski gets on your case. Record everything she says and check everything she does. She is not honest and trustworthy.

This lawyer is a disgrace to legal profession. She serves as a guardian ad litem for children during divorce. She does not care about children. I agree she sold her soul to devil long time ago to profit from families going through divorce. She pits the parents against each other, manipulates the court, attorneys, and parents. She lies to everyone involved in litigation and postpones court hearings while ignoring welfare of the children she represents. Her sole agenda is to extort as much money from parents as possible.

I was very involved father to three great kids and always was very present in their lives...but changed their minds about wanting to have anything to do with me after becoming their GAL in a custody case with my ex. She treated me very unfairly, was never available and was a pawn in my ex’s campaign to vilify and manipulate my children to believe my ex was a better option. I did not get 50/50 even tho I had a house and no reason other than “my kids feel more comfortable” with mom and gave them the choice. Do kids have a choice to go to school...no and this should be a choice to spend a parent. So sad I had no idea how corrupt the family courts are and Elaine is very very much a piece of this puzzle as I have met 3 other fathers who had the same fate as I did. If she is the GAL on your case ask for someone else. She will be the nail in your coffin.

I read the reviews about this lawyer and I agree with them completely! I wish I read the reviews before I agreed to her being a guardian in our divorce case. Our experience with her was traumatizing. She is always busy, never answers the phone and gets irritated when we tried to get in touch with her. My child, who she represented contacted her by phone and email many times with questions. She never responded. What became clear that she likes to continue the case over and over. Then she comes up with different ideas about parenting and therapy. She tells the court to send the parents and the child to therapists of her choice and the bills the parents. Her bills are very high but there is no value in them. She blatantly puffs the bills to generate income for herself. She is in this job only for the money.

She will take your money, delay your case for months and months, appoint her own therapists to mistreat your traumatized child, so that she can bill you more and more. This woman is pure evil. She is not a guardian to anyone. She is a kiss of death and greed.

I was recently going through a divorce and Elaine was appointed as the guardian ad litem in my case to protect my young daughter. My daughter's mother has an alcohol and prescription drug problem. For reasons that I can only describe as sexiest she recommended that my now ex-wife be given 65% physical custody of my young daughter during the period of our separation. She made this recommendation before she ever investigated the substance abuse accusations. She did order my ex-wife to take a drug test but Elaine ordered the wrong test and by the time she did order the drug test enough time had gone by that most of the drugs would be out of her system. I don't know if this is due to her bias toward favoring the mother or if it was just plain incompetence. In the end I was awarded 50% custody of my daughter and joint legal custody but it was a long expensive court battle and much of that is due to Elaine and her inadequacy as a GAL. In addition to this she failed to return phone calls and emails. Sometimes I would email her 4-5 times before getting a response. I would not recommend her for anything. If you are a man who is worried about protecting your children do not allow her to be appointed as their GAL.
