Bio:During 2008-2009, Ken served on secondment as Head of Litigation & Employment for BT Americas Inc., a subsidiary of British Telecommunications plc. In that role, he assumed responsibility as the primary in-house litigation counsel to a multi-billion dollar telecommunications company, undertaking substantive and case-management oversight for all litigation and employment matters in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. Ken provided advice and assistance to UK-based counsel and supervised in-house attorneys based in Los Angeles and São Paulo, as well as external counsel located throughout the Americas. In addition to a variety of disputes arising in a multi-jurisdictional and cross-border context, Ken's responsibilities included matters involving: Contracts for the provision of telecommunications, network and professional services; post-closing warranty/indemnification claims arising out of M&A transactions; insolvency and bankruptcy/administration proceedings, both in the U.S. and abroad; wrongful termination, discrimination, non-compete and other employment-related claims; patent, trademark and other types of IP-related claims; antitrust/competition, trade regulation and unfair competition claims; and security/privacy matters.
