Bio:Mr. Brothers graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Business in 1982 and the University of Toledo Law School, magna cum laude, in 1985. He has been inducted into the Order of the Coif, which is a legal honor society admitting only those individuals who finished in the top 10% of their class at select law schools. He was employed as a Staff Attorney to the Ohio Sixth District Court of Appeals, before entering private practice. His practice areas include: Business law; Probate and Estate Planning, including adoption, guardianships, conservatorships, and administration of wills and trusts; Real Estate; Tax, including employee benefits; and select Litigation. Mr. Brothers has authored “Ask a Lawyer” column in the Sturgis Journal, and he has been a speaker for the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education on estate planning matters. He has served as the President of the St. Joseph County Bar Association and is a past member of the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee for the State Bar of Michigan and the Employee Benefits Committee for the American Bar Association’s Section on Taxation.
