Bio:Virginia Ellen Griffis is a sixth generation Floridian, raised in Macclenny, Baker County, Florida, and has lived in Gainesville since moving to complete her education in 1999. She received her A.A. degree, summa cum laude, from Lake City Community College in 1998. She then attended the University of Florida, where she received her B.A. degree, with honors, in 2001 and her J.D., cum laude, in 2004. She has been an active member of the Florida Bar since 2004.
