Attorney Trafidlo defalcated $1100.00 from me in connection with an anticipated traffic ticket. When I tried to reach him he was unavailable over a two week period. Eventually, I retained alternative counsel. I sent a letter to Trafidlo requesting a return of my money. After 3 more weeks, I finally received a call, during which he promised to return my money. Two weeks later I still had not received it. After numerous calls, He answered and said he had mailed it. I received it 2 weeks later, but shorted by $350.00. I left a message and a week later received a call in which he rudely refused to return my money. He asked that I put it in writing. I did, and he failed to respond. I am now reporting him to the bar for violation of their rules in failing to have a retainer agreement and for fee arbitration.
