Her clerkship sharpened her legal writing and appellate advocacy skills, and reaffirmed her belief in the importance of strong representation at the trial level. While in law school, Carrie earned the Indian Law Certificate with Honors, and received the American Indian Law Clinic Award and Natural Resources Award. Carrie's student Note was awarded Best Note published in the Colorado Journal of International Environmental Law and Policy for 2009.
