Mathew is the first in his hard-working family to graduate from college and earn a degree. Mathew has long been cultivating his moral sense of justice. He received two Bachelors’ degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in both Philosophy and Political Science. During college, Mathew was a public land management intern at the University of Illinois where he developed a passion for environmental justice. He also dedicated his spare time to volunteering with the local county park district and various environmental justice groups.After college, Mathew moved to Oregon to attend the University of Oregon School of Law. As a law student, Mathew served as the Vice-President of Finance for the Green Business Initiative Student Association. He also worked as a financial advisor for a Eugene area non-profit that would provide medical care to low income families and veterans.Mathew is most passionate about bringing that sense of justice he has developed to those people that have been wronged in one way or another. His priority is using his hard-working upbringing, diverse skillset, and unique background to help make those people that have been wronged whole again. Mathew spends his spare time hiking and backpacking, fishing, golfing, rooting for the Chicago Cubs, and visiting with family and friends.
