Bio:Mike received his B.A. degree magna cum laude from St. Meinrad College in 1983, his J.D. degree cum laude from Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, in 1986, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Boston College in 1997. While in law school, Mike was a Note & Development Editor for the Indiana Law Review, a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Family Law, and a recipient of the Callaghan Book Award for academic excellence. Mike practiced in the areas of civil litigation and public utility law for a number of years at the firm of McHale Cook & Welch. He also practiced as a Deputy Public Defender at the Office of the Indiana State Public Defender. He has served as a full-time faculty member at Marian College, and was Marian's Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty for several years.
