Bio: Charles “Chuck” Heran joined Martin, Harding and Mazzotti, LLP in 2002 and brought with him a wealth of litigation experience.After graduating from Boston College in 1977 with a B.S. degree in Biology, Chuck attended the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. Upon completion of law school and passing the Michigan Bar in 1981, he began clerking for a district judge.In 1982, Chuck joined the District Attorney's Office in Flint, Michigan where he became one of the felony trial attorneys. In two and a half years, he had over 30 felony convictions, including several murder and manslaughter convictions.In 1985, Chuck relocated to Albany. For the next 16 years, he was engaged in personal injury defense work for the Hartford, Travelers and St. Paul Insurance Companies.After having been adversaries many times over the years, Victor Mazzotti approached Chuck about joining the firm. Chuck gladly says, “It was the best career decision I have ever made.”Over the years, Chuck has been active coaching soccer, basketball and T-ball at St. Pius School and in West Albany.
