Bio:John Gabel was raised on Long Island, New York. He received his B.S. in Biology from Indiana University in 1995. After graduating he pursued a graduate degree in botany at the University of Connecticut. He took a job as a biologist with U.S.D.A. Forest service in Stoneville, M.S. studying the relationship between timber species and their pests. During this time he became interested in a legal career and after leaving this position for law school, graduated with his J.D. from Pennsylvania State, Dickinson School of Law in 2005. Mr. Gabel has worked as an environmental consultant. He has worked for U.S.D.A. in the areas of environmental compliance, regulatory compliance, and the National Environmental Policy Act. Mr. Gabel began a career as a solo practitioner in Bowie, Maryland to provide quality legal services to the general public. As an attorney he has worked with and represented general contractors, small businesses, homeowners, artists, a professional ballet company, and more in a wide range of areas from project finance to foreclosure defense, easement disputes to contract negotiations, estate planning and other needs.
