Bio:Attorney Juan Campos-Gutierrez was born in Coro, Venezuela, and obtained his first law in 2006. While in law school, he began working for the Venezuelan judicial system, beginning as an Administrative Assistant at the Lara State Criminal Circuit Court and Clerked at the Lara State Superior Civil and Administrative Court. In Venezuela, he also clerked for the Falcon State Criminal Court of Appeals located in his hometown of Coro, where he assisted Justices with writing judicial opinions; and later on, became Assistant District Attorney in the same State. Mr. Campos worked as a Law Professor at the University of Falcon, where he taught Criminal Law and was a Criminal Investigation Instructor at the Guárico State’s Police Officer Instructions Center. In 2010, Mr. Campos began a criminal defense practice, representing defendants in the States of Guarico, Falcon, Aragua and in the Capital District. Mr. Campos also appeared before the Venezuelan Supreme Court. In the United States, Mr. Campos obtained a Master’s Degree in Comparative Law from the University of Florida. During Law School, Mr. Campos developed an interest in Immigration and Nationality Law, and decided to pursue a career in the immigration field. Mr. Campos is admitted by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana to practice law. Mr. Campos’ practice encompasses most areas of immigration law and focuses on developing a strong relationship \with his clients and assisting immigrants, minorities, and the disadvantaged. Mr. Campos has made it his mission to protect immigrant’s rights in immigration cases.
