Bio:Tania M. L. Saylor is a founding partner of Peterson Saylor, PLC. Throughout her legal career Tania has been a trial attorney handling cases from the commencement of litigation through verdict or settlement. While Tania currently focuses her practice on trusts and estates litigation and business disputes, she has significant experience in general litigation matters. Tania began her legal career as in-house counsel for State Farm Mutual Insurance Company where she maintained an extensive and highly active case load defending personal injury and property damage claims. Her time as in-house counsel afforded her the opportunity to try numerous bench trials in the General District Courts and several jury trials in the Circuit Courts of Northern Virginia. Following her time with State Farm, Tania worked at a national law firm listed in the "Top 50" by The National Law Journal. While there she continued to defend personal injury claims, but expanded her practice to include complex civil litigation and the defense of professional liability claims. As a litigator Tania understands the importance of building relationships in the legal community, and as a result she has maintained membership with the Fairfax Bar Association, serving on the Board of Directors for the Young Lawyers' Section from 2007 through 2009, and the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys. Tania also provides pro bono services through the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center.
