Ms. Ellis also represents survivors of rape and other sexual trauma against their attackers and the institutions that should have protected them.Ms. Ellis has also worked on other consumer and victim protection matters under the federal Fair Labor Standards Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, against negligent nursing homes, and on behalf of clients injured by defective medical products.Ms. Ellis is an experienced advocate both in and outside of the courtroom. In 2018, she was part of a two-person trial team that secured a more than $4 million verdict on behalf of family who lost their husband and father in a trucking crash that could have been avoided.Due in part to that verdict, Ms. Ellis was recognized as the “most outstanding young trial lawyer in the country” by her peers when she was presented with the 2018 F.
