Bio: Whit is a Lynchburg native and has been a resident of Central Virginia for 30 years. Whit graduated from E.C. Glass high school in 1996 and earned a B.A. in History from Virginia Military Institute in 2000. After graduating, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard and spend some time at sea in Alaska and finished his tour in Washington D.C. with the Ceremonial Honor Guard where he had the distinct privilege of representing the Coast Guard in joint-service ceremonies, funerals in Arlington National Cemetery, and of standing Guard of Honor over President Reagan's casket in the Capitol Rotunda. Upon completing his military tour, Whit became a licensed realtor and has also been a hunting guide and professional dog trainer. Shortly after meeting his wife Abbey, he enrolled in Liberty University School of Law where he earned a Juris Doctorate in May of 2013 with a focus on real estate, tax, and estate planning law. Whit and Abbey currently reside in Forest and they are proud parents of a set of twins. Whit enjoys all outdoor activities, especially hunting with his wife and dogs, fishing, canoeing, and camping. Whit is a member of Ducks Unlimited, the National Rifle Association, and regularly attends Blue Ridge Community Church with his wife and children.
