After graduating from Northeastern University’s College of Criminal Justice in 1998, he went on to Suffolk Law in Boston, where he focused his studies primarily on criminal law and procedure. He also worked in the Boston office of the United States Attorney during his final year of law school and was a special prosecutor in the Plymouth County (Mass.) District Attorney’s Office. After law school, Attorney Lemasa worked in various Boston-area law firms handling complex civil cases, including medical malpractice, construction/contract disputes, shareholder rights, premises and commercial liability, and personal injury matters. In 2007, Attorney Lemasa left private practice to work as an Assistant District Attorney in the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office (Hampshire and Franklin Counties), handling all types of misdemeanors and felonies. He was later an Assistant District Attorney in Hampden County, prosecuting crimes in Springfield, Massachusetts.
