Bio:Kent Meyerhoff grew up on a farm near Palmer, Kansas. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wichita State University, graduating magna cum laude, in 1991, and his Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1994.While at the University of Nebraska, Mr. Meyerhoff was executive editor of the Nebraska Law Review, and authored Regulatory Takings—Winds of Change Blow Along the South Carolina Coast: Lucas v. South Carolina Coastal Council, 112 S.Ct. 2886(1992), 72 Neb. L. Rev. 627 (1993). He was elected to the Nebraska chapter of the Order of the Coif, a national honor society to which approximately 10 percent of the highest ranking law students in each graduating class are elected. Mr. Meyerhoff was admitted to the Kansas bar and joined Fleeson, Gooing, Coulson & Kitch, L.L.C. in 1994.Mr. Meyerhoff's practice is devoted to estate planning (including drafting of wills, trusts and related documents); business succession planning; trust administration and probate; guardianships and conservatorships; trademark and copyright law; and business law. He is recognized in the publication The Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Intellectual Property Law, Trusts and Estates, and Elder Law. He currently serves as head of the Firm's Business Practice Group.
