He graduated from Texas Tech University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism and Classics. Prior to attending law school, Matthew worked for nearly four years as a beat reporter and freelance writer for various newspapers throughout Texas. Matthew graduated in the top 6% of his law school class at Texas A&M University School of Law in May 2015.
