Bio:Mr. Huffman obtained his undergraduate degree in business administration from Lenoir Rhyne University. While attending Lenoir Rhyne, he was a Dean List student, the conference champion debater, held numerous elective offices, and a Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. Mr. Huffman continues to be active at Lenoir Rhyne having previously served as President of the university's Alumni Board and is currenlty of the Board of Vistors. He received a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Carolina - Charlotte. He obtained his law degree from Wake Forest University in 1981.   In 1994, Mr. Huffman and his wife Dale moved to Salisbury where he joined a plaintiff’s workers’ compensation firm. While with that firm he represented hundreds of individuals who suffered injuries on the job and who contracted occupational diseases such as asbestosis, silicosis and brown lung disease. He also represented individuals who had cancers or who had died because of their work related injury or disease. He tried and won the first mesothelioma case to ever be heard by the North Carolina Court of Appeals. He was also involved in a recent case where the Court of Appeals found certain portions of the workers’ compensation act unconstitutional because it discriminated against individuals who died from asbestosis.   Mr Huffman opened his own law firm in 2005 and has been representing the citizens of through out the Sate of North Carolina.  Read less | AV Preeminent
