Bio:I graduated from the University of California's Hastings College of the Law in 1976. At Hastings, I earned recognition for superior academic achievement and was awarded membership in the Thurston Honor Society (top 10% in GPA). Since 1985, I have been certified by the California State Bar as a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Criminal Law. My practice is devoted to the defense of persons (adults and juveniles) accused of a crime. Since I was sworn in as an attorney in 1976, I have worked for more than two thousand people who were suspected of or charged with infractions, misdemeanors or felonies. The range of cases spans from traffic offenses, theft, assault, restraining order violations, vandalism, driving under the influence, driving with suspended license, sexual assault, gun charges, burglary, robbery, narcotics, attempted murder and murder. I dedicate my time and energy to ensure that all clients receive all their protections and constitutional rights. I also believe in the value of continuing education in order to maintain a superior knowledge of the changing laws and sharing ideas with other defense attorneys that have proved effective in the art of preparing and presenting a case to a judge or jury.
