Initially residing in Manhattan’s lower east side tenements Gordon’s grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins eventually settled throughout the five New York City borough neighborhoods and the greater New York Metropolitan region suburbs.Gordon’s parents met at Queens College. As New York City school teachers they raised their family on Long Island. Gordon’s great Uncle Sid played for the then New York Titans that became today’s New York Jets. Gordon grew up playing soccer in the local town parks and playing street hockey in the suburban Long Island streets of Nassau County and Suffolk County New York. He continues to root for his childhood favorite hockey team The New York Islanders.Gordon graduated from a 13-year religious studies program in North Massapequa, New York while simultaneously graduating from General Douglas MacArthur High School in Levittown, New York.
