My practice is focused in the area of land development, including all aspects of due diligence, entitlement, permitting, and horizontal development of land. Having served as an elected official as well as working in-house with a large development company, I know first-hand how local government works and the challenges of any developer. These unique perspectives allow me to not only anticipate and address issues quickly, but also provides a breadth of analysis that includes the critical business and practical aspects of the issues my clients face.
About: I have been a land use attorney for over twelve years. My legal practice began in the land use department of the region’s largest law firm. After achieving Partner in that firm, I left to join the firm of Wright, Casey & Stowers, P.L. After nearly three great years with Tom Wright and Brooks Casey, I transitioned to an in-house position at a large development company with substantial land holdings in not only Volusia County, but the Southeastern United States. Over the past three plus years, I handled all land use, zoning, and real estate matters personally. Additionally, I worked closely with engineers, planners, surveyors, and environmental consultants to effectively and efficiently navigate the minefield of regulatory and permitting issues that often accompanies any land development project.
