About: Attorney Sean P. Sheppard, Esq.
Born in Lakewood, New Jersey, Sean P. Sheppard attended Stockton State College in Pomona, New Jersey, where he received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. After graduating, he continued his education at Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center, where he received his juris doctorate in 1995. After receiving his law degree, Mr. Sheppard spent four and a half years as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) in the United States Navy, serving as both a Legal Assistance Attorney and Criminal Defense Attorney. At the end of his service, Mr. Sheppard was Acting Senior Defense Counsel in the Jacksonville Naval Legal Service Office (NLSO).
Mr. Sheppard began private practice in 1999 in North Florida with a focus on family law, real estate litigation, general civil litigation and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in Florida, New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Mr. Sheppard has extensive trial experience, having handled hundreds of contested trials before judges and juries. In addition to his trial experience, Mr. Sheppard has personally handled over forty appeals.
