Bio: Carissa W. Brumby graduated with distinction from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology, a minor in Philosophy and an Honors Notation from the Hutton Honors College. She subsequently earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Brumby participated in the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition, an externship with the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office and the Viola J. Taliaferro Mediation Clinic wherein she became a licensed mediator and conducted numerous solo mediation conferences. Ms. Brumby previously served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida prior to joining Beytin, McLaughlin, McLaughlin, O’Hara, Kinman & Bocchino, P.A., in 2014. Ms. Brumby has focused her practice on defending health care professionals, hospitals and other health care entities in medical malpractice litigation.
