He served as the Chief Deputy the last eighteen of those years. While at the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office, he tried hundreds of jury trials, including multiple capital murder trials, the Piper Rountree case and the first case in Henrico involving DNA. Duncan Reid was the lead prosecutor in one of the Nation’s first cases using a Geographic Information System to enhance a fingerprint from a crime scene and also tried one of the first cases in Virginia using cell towers to prove a murder.Since retiring from public service in 2011, Duncan Reid has used his wealth of experience to represent clients facing criminal and traffic charges.
