I contacted Mr. Chuzi's firm for a consultation on an appeal of a case dismissed in court. Granted, having to appeal a decision by a judge is a difficult position to be in and a weaker position than the initial hearing. Therefore, I don't fault the firm for being skeptical on the merits of the appeal. I am commenting on the general attitude of the response that was provided to me. My case is a sexual harassment case with the U.S. government, a daunting process that is stacked, quite unfairly, against those who choose to exercise their "rights", which can only be exercised for copious amounts of money. It is a difficult position to be in and one I would not wish on anyone. The response I got was: being hit on by my office director as well as physically assaulted by that same Director - an act that left a bruise on my chest above my left breast and one that was witnessed and testified to by a colleague, are not considered severe acts. So, Mr. Chuzi's firm seems to bleive that government employees, paid by tax payers, can treat subordinate government employees in such a manner without repercussion. I was told to "chalk it up to a lessons learned" although I cannot imagine to what lesson Mr. Chuzi is referring....I would not recommend spending any time looking in to using this firm -whether you are a woman, man or dog.
