Bio:Karissa Rivera is a Miami native born to a Cuban-American mother and Puerto Rican father that encouraged creativity, communication, and compassion. Karissa is a first generation professional that values good judgment, strong morals and professional values, and respect. She credits her commitment and strong work ethic for her achievements. Karissa has extensive experience in marketing, networking, and the implementation of brand development strategies. While in law school, Karissa gained valuable experience working for a “Big Law” firm in their workers’ compensation and insurance defense divisions for two and a half years before joining the Florida Entrepreneur Law (“FELPA”) team as their first full time Associate. At FELPA, Karissa is able to utilize her passion for helping create and grow businesses alongside her mentors, Michelle and Amanda. Karissa’s practice areas includes entity formation, drafting corporate documents, independent contractor agreement, master service agreements, and assisting with various business transactions.
