I hired this individual when I was wrongfully terminated from my job. My first consultation he told me and my wife that he thought I had a very strong case, but that I should let the Union try to resolve the issue... A couple months later, when the Union failed to do anything, I meet with this individual again and all of the sudden his story changed and he didn't want to take the case. It appeared that maybe he was scared to take on the railroads lawyer's. At any rate, he now demanded $15,000 to take the case, and wanted to turn the case over to a JR associate,that if I remember right charged $175 per hour, that was in addition to the $15,000 down. He knew from my first consultation that I had lost my job and would not be able to afford that and we had discussed payment after the settlementwas reached. It seems that this was his way of playing us along and swindling us out of the consultation money telling us what we wanted to hear initially and how he thought we had a strong case, then backing out in the end for some reason and soaking me for nearly $1,000 in the end. At one point he said he would refund the consultation money, but that never happened either. I believe this man to be unethical in his business practices!
