commentRichard Schmidt was the Guardian Ad Litem for my two children while in a custody dispute with my ex husband. He referred more to the notes of the previous ad litem and to my ex husband and his wife, than he ever conferred with me to get "all" sides of the stories. Needless-to-say. he was quite biased during my custody case with my ex, not to mention, he was hired to be the ad litem by my ex husband's attorney, who was crooked from the get go. I would NOT recommend Mr. Schmidt based on my personal experiences with him.
