The title is entirely accurate This individual previously represented clients in divorce cases, though it is unclear if he still practices. If he does, and you seek a competent attorney, it is strongly advised to avoid him. I hired him to represent me in my divorce from a woman who was later diagnosed as a sociopath. I quickly realized he was not representing my interests. His demeanor toward me was sarcastic, and he appeared to advocate more for my mentally ill former wife than for me. I wished to terminate his services and find a more capable attorney, but my financial situation made that impossible, leaving me to endure the proceedings. The presiding judge, serving for over 30 years on the bench, had a reputation for bias against fathers. My former wife's attorney, a female public defender, seemed to intimidate Olsen. My former wife testified for two and a half days, presenting numerous falsehood that the judge recorded as "evidence." informing Olsen of these lies and my ability to prove them, he dismissed my concerns. When my turn came to defend myself, I was allotted only a brief period and was prohibited from presenting documented evidence disproving her claims. One of Olsen's questions to me was, "Would it surprise you to know that your kids think you're a better cook?" This trivial question exemplified his inadequate representation. Testimonies from individuals supporting me were disregarded entirely. My children, who could have undermined my former wife's case, were barred from testifying. Additionally, the social worker who interviewed my children was only permitted to provide her unsubstantial opinion rather than their actual accounts. She appeared to be aligned with the biased judge. Although Olsen acknowledged my former wife's dishonesty and suggested an "evidentiary hearing," he failed to pursue it further. At the conclusion of this ordeal, Olsen remarked, "Well, I think we got a pretty good deal, don't you?" This statement provoked an outburst from me, right in front of the courthouse staff. I ensured that everyone present heard everything I had to say. My children and I were unfairly treated—by the judge, my former wife and her lawyer, by Rodney Olsen himself. Subsequently, my former wife, determined to separate me from my children because I refused to stop fighting for them. She petitioned that same judge to allow her to relocate the children to New York. The judge approved her request, enabling her to take them far from me. In New York, she continued her attacks presenting falsehoods to the courts there, forcing me to travel to defend myself. She repeated the same lies she told in the Pottawatomie courts, but this time it backfired. New York law mandates the appointment of an attorney to represent the children, ensuring their protection from deceitful parents. Her fabrications were exposed, and she could no longer exploit a flawed system. She was threatened with a lengthy jail sentence if she ever appeared in that court again. Consequently, she was compelled to drop her case against me with prejudice or face immediate incarceration. New York attorneys operate under far stricter standards than those in Kansas. If New York attorneys behaved as Olsen did, they would face disbarment. Today, my children are in their thirties, and only one of the four survived the harm inflicted by my former wife and the Kansas Family Court System. I hold the Pottawatomie County judge, my ex-wife's attorney, and Rodney Olsen accountable for the abuse endured by my children and myself over the years. I hope that when Olsen meets Christ he is held responsible for his actions.
