Bio:	Shannon Marlowe Rogers was born and raised in Yorktown, Virginia. Ms. Rogers attended Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, where she was involved as a Resident Assistant for three years. During the summers of 2014 and 2015, Ms. Rogers worked as an intern for Legislative Affairs at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia. Ms. Rogers graduated in 2017 with a double major in Political Science and Sociology and minor in Human Rights & Conflict Resolution. Ms. Rogers went on to pursue her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law, graduating in May 2020. During her time at the College of Law, Ms. Rogers served as the Student Editor in Chief for the ABA’s Family Law Quarterly Journal and as Vice President of the Public Interest Advocates. During the summer after her first-year of law school, Ms. Rogers worked as an intern at the Newport News Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office in Newport News, Virginia. The following summer, Ms. Rogers was selected to be a Public Interest Fellow, working at Legal Aid of West Virginia in its Morgantown, West Virginia office. In her spare time, Ms. Rogers enjoys serving as an Advisor to the Alpha Delta Pi Chapter at West Virginia Wesleyan College, as well as cooking and spending time with her husband and their dog, Atticus Finch.
