Bio:Gilliam grew up an only child, raised in the West Suburbs of the Chicago land area. After completing his high school education, he thereafter moved to the city of Chicago where he would spend the next twenty (20) years of his life.During that time, Gilliam, heavily influenced by his parents’ love for Latin culture and its people completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a major in Spanish language. While attending UIC, Gilliam chose to delve deeper into the study of Spanish by completing a year of his coursework in Spain at the Universitat de Barçelona.Before attending DePaul College of Law in Chicago’s Loop, Gilliam married his college sweetheart and began to raise a family in the City.While studying law at DePaul, Gilliam took on a variety of coursework from International Business to working for community-based not-for-profits at the DePaul Legal Clinic.
