Bio:	I was raised and educated in Fort Worth, Texas where being ethical and fair to everyone was taught by my parents. After receiving a B.A. from Texas Wesleyan College where I decided I wanted to be a lawyer, I went to California to go to law school. At law school I had my first legal article published by the American Bar Association. After graduation from law school, I started working for solo practitioners to learn what the practice of law really was about. I fell in love and married my wife whom we are still married after 30 years. I have a child in high school whom I respect and adore. I continue to write and be published in various law journals. I became editor of the Journal of Beverly Hills Bar Association from 1978-1979. I also started volunteering for the Courts as a judge pro temp which I continue today. I also became very involved in legal ethics and was honored to be appointed to the ethics committee by the State Bar of California and Los Angeles County Bar. I subsequently went to private practice and became involved in trial and appellate cases involving personal injury and insurance disputes. Many of the cases I was involved in changed or clarified California law. I was then honored to be appointed a juvenile court referee for the Court on a part time basis. I was able to help kids who had troubles with the law. I then became involved in cases involving victims of sexual abuse and molestation. These cases provided much more than just a source of income.
