Bio:	I was born and raised in Rockford, Illinois. I love my hometown and I'm proud to be practicing law here. I started my legal career at the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office as an Assistant State's Attorney. There I learned what it meant to be a trial attorney and work with passion to seek justice for victims of violent crimes. I started my own law practice because I wanted to continue to fight for good people during the most trying times of their lives. I graduated from Northern Illinois University College of Law cum laude. I was actively involved in serving as Dean ofDelta Theta Phi, participating as a Moot Court Associate Justice for the Moot Court Society and studying abroad through the Agen France Summer Program. While at NIUCOL, I was a semi-finalist in the 2005 Internal Moot Court Competition, awarded the Student Bar Association "Most Motivated Leader" Award by my peers, as well as being recognized by Northern Illinois University as a recipient ofthe Northern illinois University Outstanding Women Student Award. I worked during law school as a tutor for the NIU College of Law Academic Support Program and volunteered at Safe Passage, a local domestic violence shelter, as a legal advocate.
