She grew up speaking English and Spanish at home and counts this as one of the greatest gifts her parents have given her. After graduating Salutatorian of her high school class from Westminster Christian School in Miami, Ana-Cris chose to attend Duke University in the fall of 2003. Deciding to pursue a career as an attorney, she enrolled at Wake Forest University School of Law where she graduated in 2010. She passed the bar exam and was sworn in in 2011.
