First in integrity. First in communication. First in fairness. Integrity - Atty Gonillo helped me with an adversarial divorce, remaining calm and collected while my former husband's lawyer was late, unprepared, or displayed childlike defensive behavior in the courtroom, complaining all the time that the court was at fault for overscheduling her. Ms Gonillo could have asked for sanctions or other legal motions to stop the stonewalling and late discovery. However, Ms Gonillo patiently waited the other attorney out until a settlement was made, months before a scheduled court date for 2024. Thank goodness it is not going to be a prolonged, protracted process. Communication - Ms Gonillo answered emails and phone calls in a timely basis. Sometimes it was a short message, ie I'll get back to you before the end of the day or I'm in court now and can chat afterwards. I never had to wait more than 24 hours to hear back from her. One time we spoke at 11:00 pm. Fairness - Atty Gonillo was honest and forthright about the reality of my situation. She made predictions based on facts and evidence. I trusted Atty. Gonllo. I always felt she had my best interest in mind. It is my pleasure and honor to recommend Atty. Christine Gonillo for issues related to family law.
