Most recently, Ellen was Director of Real Estate and Associate General Counsel at Dartmouth College where she was the lead in house counsel for College Real Estate and Campus Services. In that capacity, she was responsible for planning and permitting large and complex projects, working with numerous disciplines. She also managed College environmental issues, energy initiatives, and community affairs. Prior to her work at Dartmouth, Ellen was a litigation director at McLane Middleton where she chaired the firm’s Land Use Practice Group. Ellen is one of the first women appointed to the New Hampshire Judiciary, as a part time district court and family division judge. During her career, Ellen has had the privilege of serving as special legal counsel to Governor Judd Gregg and as legal counsel for the New Hampshire State Senate. Ellen served as President of the New Hampshire Bar Association (2008-2009), served as a member of the New Hampshire Professional Conduct Committee (2006-2007), and was a member of the New Hampshire Supreme Court Commission on the Status of the new Hampshire Bar Association in the 21st Century (2017-2018).
