Bio:Erin Vernon grew up in Wichita, Kansas and dreamed of becoming a lawyer and following in her father's footsteps. At the age of 11, she began working at her father's law firm and has never abandoned that dream. Erin attended the University of Kansas, where she discovered legal psychology. Through academic research and internships, Erin developed a passion for political psychology, judicial psychology and jury psychology. She spent two years working for Litigation Insights, a premier litigation consulting firm. There she traveled the country coordinating more than 30 mock trials, deliberation groups and shadow juries as well as assisting with related qualitative and quantitative analysis and immersing herself in litigation-related social science research.She elected to attend Duke University, where she could continue pursuing legal psychology while simultaneously obtaining her law degree. While attending Duke University School of Law, she worked for Legal Aid of North Carolina and zealously represented victims of domestic violence. She also spent a semester as a Children's Law Clinic student advocate and provided free legal advice, advocacy and legal representation to low-income children.After completing her education, she returned home to the Midwest to pursue a litigation career that would enable her to utilize her background in legal psychology and litigation to advocate for injured victims.
