Bio:Nathan Vinson was fascinated by two things when he began college: business and entertainment. As a budding musician himself, he thought he would carry this love through to a career working in the entertainment business.But after receiving a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University where he majored in recording industry/music business and then a master’s of business administration degree from Eastern Kentucky University, he found another surprising interest: tax law.“I was learning about business, but not the law that drives the transactions,” Nathan says. “I thought I’d supplement my business knowledge with legal knowledge.”Nathan planned to go back into the entertainment business, but as it turns out, deep knowledge of tax law is uncommon, so he decided to concentrate on tax law and litigation. He earned both a J.D. and an LL.M. and has worked in the tax law field since 2010.Nathan has handled some music industry transactions as well, and is excited to be taking in Bowling Green’s vibrant local music scene and to be close to Nashville.Outside of work, Nathan enjoys playing rock music, and plans to set up a music studio in his home.
