Having worked as a gardener since a young age, he experienced many of the challenges that immigrants are faced with on a regular basis. His personal experiences and observations led him to develop a sincere appreciation for immigrants. Gilberto began his legal career at Berry Appleman & Leidein LLP (BAL), where he first worked as an Immigration Assistant and then a Paralegal prior to law school.
