Bio:Judge, Kerr County, 1983-1986."My first ancestors arrived in Texas back in 1848, right in the middle of the Great Indian Wars, with land grant in hand, and put down roots just west of Mountain Home around 1884, calling it the Sproul Ranch. One hundred twenty five years later; we're still here." Mr. Morriss currently operates the part of the original Sproul Ranch his dad inherited and named "La Tijerita" Ranch.Mr. Morriss was born in Kerrville, Texas to Sproul Abner Morriss and Annie Laurie Morriss. He attended Rocksprings high school in Rocksprings, Texas. Later, after graduating from high school, he attended Schreiner College in Kerrville, and left the area just long enough to go to college and law school. He attended Texas A&M University, where he received his B.S degree in Agricultural Economics. He earned his Law degree at Texas Tech University in 1977 and immediately returned to Kerrville and hung his shingle. Continuously practicing law in Kerrville since that time, also serving as County Judge of Kerr County from 1983 to 1986.What does this mean to you?
