I am a woman who complained on Kitchen's site because she did such a horrible job. She had an answer for that that floored me: she didn't remember me and maybe I mistook her for somebody else. She's a rather large woman with very blond hair and is very loud and (at times) nasty if she thinks you are being too demanding of her. I did not forget her. She might have forgotten me. I will never forget her.

I was a client for Ms. Kitchen in a divorce with an abusive spouse. I found it difficlut to get into contact with her, and I found her fairly disinterested once she got her retainer. I only met with her twice in her office. I stopped in once to ask a question, and evern though the office was empty of clients and slim on staff I got no help. I read a few magazines then left. As far as I could tell she had no paralegals or other associates. I think it might help her (and her clients) if she wasn't a solo pracitioner. And I dicovered she was running for judge chairs while she ran her practice. No wonder not much got done. I am in favor of women divorce lawyers because I think they understand what abused spouses endure. That's why I was so disappointed with Ms. Kitchen. Maybe I should have raised more of a fuss. I went to another attorney. He did a good job for me and I felt like I had an engaged advocate on my side. My spouse certainly did. But my new attorney stopped all the nonsense and we settled the case in a way that left me feeling safe and vindicated.
