He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan on November 10, 1976 and has been a member in good standing ever since that date. From the date of his admission through the end of 1979, he was a staff attorney at the Legal Aid and Defender Association of Detroit, Felony Division. For the last 18 months of that period, he was head of the Circuit Court Division of the Defender's Office in Detroit.
