Bio:Jeff grew up on a small family farm outside of Platte, South Dakota. After graduating from Platte High School in 2003, Jeff attended Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota receiving degrees in Business Management and Mathematics for Information Systems. During his time at Dakota State University, Jeff had internships at Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Target, Corp., and Wells Fargo Financial Bank.Jeff traveled south to attend law school at the University of Tennessee. During law school, Jeff took classes focused in Estate Planning and Transactional Tax Planning. In the Summer of 2010, Jeff's article entitled "Determining a Reasonable Percentage in Establishing a Contingency Fee: A New Tool to Remedy an Old Problem" was published in the Tennessee Law Review. Jeff served as an Executive Editor of the Tennessee Law Review and was the lone student on the law school's Strategic Planning Committee. Jeff also interned at two law firms in Sioux Falls during his summers back in South Dakota.During his time in Knoxville, Jeff also received a Masters in Business Administration. The focus of his coursework was Finance and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As part of the entrepreneurship program, Jeff helped a community foundation more effectively market to potential donors using social media and worked in the early-stage formation of a start-up soccer franchise.
