Bio: Jessica is the director of criminal litigation at Burnham Law and is based out of our Colorado Springs office. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where she worked as a domestic violence victim advocate and won asylum for a 17-year old refugee from Azerbaijan. She was presented with an award for excellence in Trial Advocacy. Jessica worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Boulder County where she specialized in domestic violence and elder abuse cases heading up the Boulder County Domestic Violence Task Force and co-creating the Elder Abuse Task force. She has also worked as a prosecutor for the City of Westminster and as a criminal defense attorney. She is a highly skilled and experienced litigator who has handled thousands of criminal cases and more than one hundred trials.
