Bio:Sam McGee joined Tin Fulton Walker & Owen in 2013. A graduate of Wake Forest University, Yale Law School, and Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College, Sam began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Morris S. Arnold on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit in Little Rock, Arkansas. Following his clerkship, Sam returned to his home state of North Carolina and has been representing individuals and small businesses ever since. Sam's practice has included many complex litigation matters in the areas of nursing home abuse and neglect, professional negligence, appeals, class actions, business torts and serious personal injury. Many of these matters have resulted in substantial recoveries, including multiple recoveries in excess of $1,000,000. On three occasions, Sam has obtained appellate rulings defeating the nursing home industry's efforts to compel residents' claims to binding arbitration. In 2011, Sam and his law partner obtained a $4,000,000.00 jury verdict for an entrepreneur that was defamed by a national bank.
