Bio:AV Preeminent | Mark A. Glassman, Esq., was born in New York City in 1969, and moved to South Florida as a teenager. He attended North Miami Beach Senior High, from which he graduated in 1987. Mr. Glassman attended the University of Florida, and received a B.A. degree in political science in December, 1990. Thereafter, Mr. Glassman attended Florida State University College of Law in Tallahassee between 1991 and 1994. While attending law school, Mr. Glassman worked as a law clerk for several professional boards at the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and served as an intern for the Lieutenant Governor, Buddy MacKay. On campus, he served as an Editor for the FSU Journal of Transnational Law and was the advisor to FSU's Student Court. Upon graduation from law school in 1994, Mr. Glassman accepted a position with a large firm in Palm Beach County where he primarily practiced in the field of insurance defense. Mr. Glassman's primary focus was medical malpractice litigation, and his clients included several insurance companies and local hospitals. In 1996, Mr. Glassman joined another insurance defense firm in Broward County, and continued his focus in the field of medical malpractice litigation. In 1999, Mr. Glassman changed the direction of his legal career. Specifically, he started the Law Office of Mark A. Glassman, P.A., and decided that he would no longer defend insurance companies, hospitals and/or healthcare providers in negligence case
